Acceptable use policy

FairyTales is for making gentle, personal stories for your own family. This policy is part of our . It says what you may not do, and what happens if you do.

People and permission

Do not:

  • add a photo or details of any person unless you are their parent or legal guardian, or they are an adult who agreed (or, for another person's child, their parent or guardian agreed);
  • add information about a child you are not responsible for, without their parent's or guardian's permission;
  • use a likeness to impersonate, mock, bully, harass or deceive anyone, or to make it look as if a real person said or did something;
  • add real public figures or celebrities;
  • add anyone's private information, such as home addresses, school names, phone numbers or medical records.

Content

Do not ask for, add or try to produce:

  • any content that sexualises a child, in any way. This is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement, the account is locked, and the material is kept as evidence;
  • nudity, sexual content or sexual themes of any kind;
  • graphic violence, gore, cruelty, or content meant to frighten or harm a child;
  • content that encourages self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, drug or alcohol use, or dangerous acts a child could copy;
  • hateful or discriminatory content, or content that harasses or threatens anyone;
  • content that breaks the law or anyone's rights, including copyright, trademark, privacy and publicity rights;
  • photographic, photorealistic or "deepfake" images of real people, or any attempt to make a likeness pass for a photograph.

The service

Do not:

  • let a child use your account, hand your account to anyone under 18, or get around the age check;
  • share your account or sell, resell or give away access to it;
  • sell generated stories or pictures, or use them commercially, unless our Terms allow it; or use them to train another AI model;
  • scrape, copy or harvest the service, or use bots or scripts to use it;
  • reverse engineer the service, probe or bypass its safety checks, rate limits, spending limits or security, or try to extract its prompts;
  • overload the service, or create accounts to collect welcome credits repeatedly;
  • use a payment method you are not entitled to use, or make false chargebacks.

What we do

If we believe someone has broken this policy, we may refuse a request, remove content, switch off share links, limit or suspend an account, close it without refund, and report it to the authorities where the law requires or where a child may be at risk. Our safety checks are automated and are not perfect; they do not replace your own judgment as a parent.

Reporting a problem

Use "Report a problem" on any story or shared page, or email [TO BE CONFIRMED: contact email]. A report about a shared page switches that link off at once until it has been reviewed. Copyright complaints can also go to our designated agent, listed in the .
